Does your mastic (Deck O Seal) resemble the top picture with the yellow highlight? If yes, it’s time to have it replaced. The mastic joint should not be cracked, missing, or have any open spaces between the pool deck and the coping. Water can seep down between the deck and coping and cause the deck (red highlighted picture on the bottom) and coping to crack and the tile to pop off, especially in the winter when that water can freeze and expand.
